unraveled at the seams

Hey, so I've moved on to my own website, check it out: www.trailingyarn.com. Leave a post so I'll know you came by!

Ciao!

I'm whooped this morning and didn't get hardly ANY knitting done this weekend. Barely worked on the Ace hat, much less finish it like I'd planned. Did start a baby sweater for Stacey but didn't get to work on that at all yesterday as household duties took priority. I painted the nook Aloe Vera green, which looks great in natural light but really, really green and a bit on the minty side under artificial light. I'm not sure about it. It doesn't help that I painted the ceiling and the inside of the built-in cabinet Aloe Vera also. It's now comparable to the White House's Green Room. I might paint the walls blue and leave the ceiling and inside the cabinet green. I'll have to think on it.

So I'm wondering if Welcome to Blogland is anything like Welcome to the Dollhouse. After seeing so many cool knitting blogs, and having recently adopted the habit (and yes it is a habit, an addiction, some people might even call it a disease but I'm not sure I'd go quite that far - yet) I thought I'd venture into Blogland as a way to, if nothing else, keep up with the various knitting projects I have in progress, either on needles or in my head.

Currently working on: Karaoke hat for Ace, the American Idol contestant. Crazy, lame, silly, yes, I know. It's all those things. But I really, really, REALLY wanted to try out the soy silk yarn and when they asked for a volunteer to knit the hat, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Really. I couldn't. So I'm making the Swirly Hat and it's coming along nicely. I'll be starting the cables today, which is my first foray into cabling! Woo hoo!!!
